Port Credit is Mississauga’s oldest community and one of the best-known. It started out as an independent town and became a Mississauga community only in the 1970s. Revitalization of older buildings and a wave of new builds have redefined Port Credit. New developments are also underway in this community known for landmarks and a rich heritage.
Nestled between Lake Ontario, Seneca Avenue, Shawnmarr Road and CN tracks on Lake Ontario’s north shore at the mouth of the Credit River, it is the most desirable location in the area. Only a 30-minute ride divides Port Credit from Toronto or the Mississauga Downtown area thanks to Queen Elizabeth and Gardiner Express Way and GO train.
Walkable, green, historic and friendly, Port Credit is an exclusive neighborhood that mostly attracts mover-uppers.
